ConVal Cougars (Peterborough, NH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Milford Spartans (Milford, NH), 10-7 in a league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 12-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sanborn Regional for a Division II challenge on Thursday, May 23. ConVal will battle a Indians squad coming off a 16-4 league win over Stark (Weare, NH). The Indians record now stands at 9-6.

With the loss, Milford falls to 4-11 on the campaign. The Spartans host Oyster River (Durham, NH) to battle the Bobcats in a Division II challenge on Friday, May 24. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a record of 14-3. Oyster River won 6-1 in their recent league challenge against Laconia (Laconia, NH)
