The Panthers now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Newton for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 23. Knoxville will battle a Cardinals squad coming off a 7-2 non-league win over Marshalltown (Marshalltown, IA). The Cardinals record now stands at 2-0.

With the loss, Davis County falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Centerville (Centerville, IA) to battle the Big Reds/Redettes in a South Central challenge on Friday, May 24. The Big Reds/Redettes enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. Centerville lost 6-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Oskaloosa (Oskaloosa, IA)
