The Marquette Redmen softball team scored 16 runs and limited the visiting Gwinn Modeltowners to 1 in the Redmen non-league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, Marquette moves its record to 17-18 on the year. The Redmen travel to Menominee (Menominee, MI) to play the Maroons in a Great Northern U.P. game on Thursday, May 23. The Maroons come into the game with a record of 5-7. Menominee lost 4-1 in their recent league game against Gladstone (Gladstone, MI)

In their next game, the Modeltowners play the Ishpeming Hematites (Ishpeming, MI) in a non-league game, on Friday, May 31. Gwinn will attempt to move on its 1-11 season record.
