The crowd at Thursday's league battle between the Essex Hornets (Essex Junction, VT) and the host Mt. Mansfield Cougars (Jericho, VT), saw Essex's baseball team gain a win over Mt. Mansfield by a tally of 12-1.
The Hornets (1-2) will now prepare for their battle against Rutland (Rutland, VT). The Raiders enter the non-league battle with a 1-4 record.
Next, the Cougars face the St. Johnsbury Academy Hilltoppers (St. Johnsbury, VT) in a Metro battle, on Saturday, May 24. Mt. Mansfield will attempt to upgrade on its 7-3 season record. The Hilltoppers enter the battle with a 9-1 record after their 5-4 non-league loss to South Burlington (South Burlington, VT).
