The Montello Hilltoppers baseball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Fall River Pirates to 8 in the Hilltoppers non-league win on Thursday.

The Hilltoppers now hold a 7-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Rio for a non-league test on Tuesday, May 27. Montello will play a Vikings team coming off a 14-1 non-league loss to Pardeeville (Pardeeville, WI). The Vikings record now stands at 2-14.

With the defeat, Fall River drops to 13-6 on the year. The Pirates host Green Lake/Princeton (Green Lake, WI) to play the Tigersharks in a Trailways-North test on Tuesday, May 27. The Tigersharks go into the test with a record of 10-7. Green Lake/Princeton won 11-0 in their recent league test against Randolph (Randolph, WI)
