Fans at Thursday's league battle between the South Anchorage Wolverines (Anchorage, AK) and the visiting West Anchorage Eagles (Anchorage, AK), saw South Anchorage's soccer squad triumph over West Anchorage by a count of 6-0.
The Wolverines (12-0) will now prepare for their battle against Bettye Davis East Anchorage (Anchorage, AK). The Thunderbirds enter the Cook Inlet battle with a 0-13 record. In their last battle, Bettye Davis East Anchorage was overwhelmed by Chugiak (Chugiak, AK), 11-0, in a league battle.
Next up, the Eagles battle the Eagle River Wolves (Eagle River, AK) in a Cook Inlet game, on Saturday, May 24. West Anchorage will attempt to advance on its 6-8 season record. The Wolves enter the game with a 3-12 record after their 1-0 league win over Bartlett (Anchorage, AK).
