In Thursday's non-league test, the Buckfield Bucks (Buckfield, ME) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Leavitt Hornets (Turner, ME), by a tally of 8-2.

Next, the Bucks clash with the Richmond Bobcats (Richmond, ME) in a Class D South test, on Friday, May 23. Buckfield will attempt to advance on its 9-1 season record. The Bobcats go into the test with a 5-7 record after their 21-0 league win over Temple Academy (Waterville, ME).

The Hornets (11-1) will now prepare for their test against Erskine Academy (South China, ME). The Eagles go into the Class B South test with a 5-6 record. In their last test, Erskine Academy was routed by Lincoln Academy (Newcastle, ME), 8-4, in a league test.
