Old Lyme Wildcats (Old Lyme, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Hale Ray Noises (Moodus, CT), 6-1 in a non-league challenge.
The Wildcats now own a 16-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cromwell for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 24. Old Lyme will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 4-0 league win over North Branford (North Branford, CT). The Panthers record now stands at 18-2.
With the loss, Hale Ray falls to 8-12 on the campaign. The Noises host East Windsor (East Windsor, CT) to battle the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 24. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 0-2.
