The Pentucket Regional the host Lynnfield Pioneers softball squad by a final score of 9-6 in Monday's non-league battle.

The (7-8) will now prepare for their battle against Newburyport (Newburyport, MA). The Clippers go into the Cape Ann Kinney battle with a 6-8 record. In their last battle, Newburyport was routed by Triton Regional (Byfield, MA), 6-4, in a league battle.

The Pioneers now possess a 5-9 record. They play next when they travel to East Boston for a non-league battle on Tuesday, May 24. Lynnfield will meet a Jets squad coming off a 8-3 league win over O'Bryant (Roxbury, MA). The Jets record now stands at 7-6.
