Spectators at Tuesday's non-league match between the East Providence Townies (East Providence, RI) and the visiting Barrington Eagles (Barrington, RI), witnessed East Providence's softball squad tip Barrington by a count of 5-0.

The Townies now sport a 3-4 record. They play next when they host Westerly for a match on Friday, May 26. East Providence will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 10-1 non-league win over Cranston West (Cranston, RI). The Bulldogs record now stands at 15-0.

With the loss, Barrington moves to 0-4 on the season.
