The Leavitt Hornets the visiting Morse Shipbuilders softball squad by a final score of 5-2 in Tuesday's league battle.
The Hornets (10-4) will now prepare for their battle against Maranacook (Readfield, ME). The Black Bears go into the non-league battle with a 11-2 record. In their last battle, Maranacook held off Mount View (Thorndike, ME), 12-2, in a non-league battle.
The Shipbuilders now possess a 10-4 record. They play next when they host Gardiner for a Class B South battle on Thursday, May 25. Morse will confront a Tigers squad coming off a 12-2 league win over Erskine Academy (South China, ME). The Tigers record now stands at 12-2.
