South County Stallions (Lorton, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host West Springfield Spartans (Springfield, VA), 9-8 in a league challenge.

The Stallions now own a 10-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Springfield for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 24. South County will battle a Spartans squad coming off a 9-8 league loss to South County (Lorton, VA). The Spartans record now stands at 13-10.

With the loss, West Springfield falls to 13-10 on the campaign. The Spartans host South County (Lorton, VA) to battle the Stallions in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 24. The Stallions enter the challenge with a record of 10-12. South County won 9-8 in their recent league challenge against West Springfield (Springfield, VA)
