AHSTW Vikings (Avoca, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Tri-Center Trojans (Neola, IA), 7-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Vikings now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Riverside for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 24. AHSTW will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to Audubon (Audubon, IA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Tri-Center falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Trojans host IKM/Manning (Manning, IA) to face the Wolves in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 24. The Wolves enter the challenge with a record of 1-1. IKM/Manning won 12-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Boyer Valley (Dunlap, IA)
