Middle Township Panthers (Cape May Court House, NJ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Holy Spirit Spartans (Absecon, NJ), 3-0 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 17-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Haddon Heights for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 28. Middle Township will face a Garnets squad coming off a 8-1 non-league win over Sterling (Somerdale, NJ). The Garnets record now stands at 13-8.

With the loss, Holy Spirit falls to 10-12 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to St. Rose (Belmar, NJ) to face the Purple Roses in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 29. The Purple Roses enter the challenge with a record of 12-9. St. Rose won 12-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Bishop Eustace Prep (Pennsauken, NJ)
