The Saranac Spartans baseball team scored 20 runs and held the visiting AuSable Valley Patriots to 2 in the Spartans non-league win on Friday.

The Spartans now own a 16-3 record. They take the field next when they host Saranac Lake for a non-league test on Wednesday, May 28. Saranac will clash with a Red Storm team coming off a 10-2 league loss to Beekmantown (Plattsburgh, NY). The Red Storm record now stands at 3-7.

With the defeat, AuSable Valley drops to 0-10 on the year.
