In Friday's league bout, the Grant Community Bulldogs (Fox Lake, IL) baseball squad overwhelmed the host Grayslake North Knights (Grayslake, IL), by a tally of 11-1.

Next up, the Bulldogs encounter the Deerfield Warriors (Deerfield, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, May 24. Grant Community will attempt to upgrade on its 18-13 season record. The Warriors enter the bout with a 13-19 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Vernon Hills (Vernon Hills, IL).

The Knights (6-25) will now prepare for their bout against Woodstock (Woodstock, IL). The Blue Streaks enter the non-league bout with a 8-18 record. In their last bout, Woodstock was overwhelmed by Dundee-Crown (Carpentersville, IL), 4-0, in a non-league bout.
