In Friday's league game, the visiting Morris Redskins baseball team scored a nice 12-4 victory over the LaSalle-Peru Cavaliers.
The Redskins (24-8) will now prepare for their game against Kankakee (Kankakee, IL). The Kays enter the non-league game with a 10-21 record. In their last game, Kankakee was overwhelmed by Springfield Southeast (Springfield, IL), 11-0, in a non-league game.
Next, the Cavaliers face the Ottawa Pirates (Ottawa, IL) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, May 27. LaSalle-Peru will attempt to improve on its 14-15 season record. The Pirates enter the game with a 17-15 record after their 5-4 non-league win over Geneseo (Geneseo, IL).
