Middleborough Sachems (Middleborough, MA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Silver Lake Regional Lakers (Kingston, MA), 7-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Sachems now sport a 9-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Dighton-Rehoboth Regional for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 25. Middleborough will face a Falcons squad coming off a 14-11 league win over Case (Swansea, MA). The Falcons record now stands at 14-4.

With the loss, Silver Lake Regional falls to 18-2 on the campaign. The Lakers travel to Taunton (Taunton, MA) to face the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 30. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 20-1. Taunton won 15-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Bishop Feehan (Attleboro, MA)
