The Stearns Minutemen softball team scored 17 runs and limited the visiting Bangor Christian Patriots to 12 in the Minutemen league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Stearns improves its record to 7-6 on the year. The Minutemen travel to Mattanawcook (Lincoln, ME) to clash with the Lynx in a non-league game on Tuesday, May 28. The Lynx come into the game with a record of 7-4. Mattanawcook won 13-0 in their recent league game against Foxcroft Academy (Dover-Foxcroft, ME)

In their next game, the Patriots clash with the Sumner Tigers (East Sullivan, ME) in a non-league game, on Monday, May 27. Bangor Christian will attempt to improve on its 3-11 season record. The Tigers come into the game with a 9-4 record after their 16-1 non-league win over Searsport (Searsport, ME).
