Connersville Spartans (Connersville, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Franklin County Wildcats (Brookville, IN), 9-8 in a non-league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 16-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Silver Creek for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 28. Connersville will battle a Dragons squad coming off a 13-3 non-league win over Charlestown (Charlestown, IN). The Dragons record now stands at 28-6.

With the loss, Franklin County falls to 16-12 on the campaign.
