The Ellington Knights softball team scored 5 runs and limited the visiting Granby Memorial Bears to 2 in the Knights league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Ellington moves its record to 20-2 on the year. The Knights host Coventry (Coventry, CT) to clash with the Patriots in a North Central Connecticut game on Friday, May 24. The Patriots come into the game with a record of 12-1.

In their next game, the Bears clash with the Oxford Wolverines (Oxford, CT) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, May 28. Granby Memorial will attempt to move on its 10-7 season record. The Wolverines come into the test with a 12-8 record after their 7-6 non-league loss to Seymour (Seymour, CT).
