Garner-Hayfield/Ventura Cardinals (Garner, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host West Hancock Eagles (Britt, IA), 19-5 in a league challenge.

The Cardinals now own a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Belmond-Klemme for a Top of Iowa-West challenge on Tuesday, May 28. Garner-Hayfield/Ventura will face a Broncos squad coming off a 5-2 non-league win over Northwood-Kensett (Northwood, IA). The Broncos record now stands at 2-0.

With the loss, West Hancock falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Eagles host Osage (Osage, IA) to face the Green Devils in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 28. The Green Devils enter the challenge with a record of 1-2.
