Royal Knights (Royal City, WA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Montesano Bulldogs (Montesano, WA), 6-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Knights now own a 20-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cedar Park Christian for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 24. Royal will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 15-6 non-league win over Granite Falls (Granite Falls, WA). The Eagles record now stands at 18-4.

With the loss, Montesano falls to 22-4 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Lakeside (Nine Mile Falls, WA) to battle the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 24. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 10-10. Lakeside won 3-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Elma (Elma, WA)
