The Avon Pirates softball team scored 16 runs and held the visiting Parkston Trojans to 6 in the Pirates non-league win on Saturday.

The Pirates now sport a 15-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dakota Valley for a non-league battle on Saturday, May 24. Avon will encounter a Panthers team coming off a 4-3 league win over Sioux Falls Christian (Sioux Falls, SD). The Panthers record now stands at 12-6.

With the loss, Parkston moves to 7-14 on the season. The Trojans travel to Tri-Valley (Colton, SD) to encounter the Mustangs in a Class A battle on Tuesday, May 27. The Mustangs come into the battle with a record of 13-3.
