Los Lunas Tigers (Los Lunas, NM) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Belen Eagles (Belen, NM), 15-0 in a non-league challenge.
The Tigers now sport a 11-2 record. They take the field next when they host Capital for a 5A District 5 challenge on Saturday, May 29.
With the loss, Belen falls to 6-7 on the campaign. The Eagles host St. Pius X (Albuquerque, NM) to face the Sartans in a 4A District 5 challenge on Thursday, May 27. The Sartans enter the challenge with a record of 12-1. St. Pius X won 7-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Bernalillo (Bernalillo, NM)
