Westwood Wolverines (Westwood, MA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Ashland Clockers (Ashland, MA), 5-3 in a league challenge.

The Wolverines now own a 10-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Medfield for a Tri-Valley challenge on Thursday, May 26. Westwood will face a Warriors squad coming off a 6-4 league loss to Norwood (Norwood, MA). The Warriors record now stands at 7-9.

With the loss, Ashland falls to 1-16 on the campaign. The Clockers travel to Hopkinton (Hopkinton, MA) to face the Hillers in a Tri-Valley challenge on Friday, May 27. The Hillers enter the challenge with a record of 11-8. Hopkinton lost 12-6 in their recent league challenge against Holliston (Holliston, MA)
