Avon Eagles (Avon, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting North Ridgeville Rangers (North Ridgeville, OH), 4-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 12-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Springfield for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 27. Avon will battle a Blue Devils squad coming off a 5-4 non-league win over Anthony Wayne (Whitehouse, OH). The Blue Devils record now stands at 11-6.

With the loss, North Ridgeville moves to 14-2 on the season.
