Wachusett Regional Mountaineers (Holden, MA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Shepherd Hill Regional Rams (Dudley, MA), 9-0 in a league challenge.

The Mountaineers now own a 18-1 record. They take the field next when they host Doherty Memorial for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 27. Wachusett Regional will face a Highlanders squad coming off a 4-1 non-league win over Leominster (Leominster, MA). The Highlanders record now stands at 13-4.

With the loss, Shepherd Hill Regional falls to 8-9 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Leominster (Leominster, MA) to face the Blue Devils in a Mid-Wach challenge on Friday, May 27. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a record of 7-10. Leominster lost 4-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Doherty Memorial (Worcester, MA)
