Spectators at Thursday's league match between the Skowhegan River Hawks (Skowhegan, ME) and the visiting Bangor Rams (Bangor, ME), witnessed Skowhegan's softball squad tip Bangor by a count of 8-5.

The River Hawks now sport a 13-1 record. They play next when they host Brunswick for a Class A North match on Friday, May 26. Skowhegan will meet a Dragons squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Messalonskee (Oakland, ME). The Dragons record now stands at 8-5.

With the loss, Bangor moves to 5-9 on the season. The Rams host Mt. Blue (Farmington, ME) to meet the Cougars in a Class A North match on Friday, May 26. The Cougars go into the match with a record of 1-13. Mt. Blue lost 7-6 in their recent league match against Edward Little (Auburn, ME)
