With the triumph, Newell-Fonda moves its record to 3-0 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Pocahontas (Pocahontas, IA) to play the Indians in a non-league contest on Tuesday, May 28. The Indians come into the contest with a record of 2-1. Pocahontas won 12-0 in their recent non-league contest against South Central Calhoun (Lake City, IA)

In their next game, the Westerners play the West Lyon Wildcats (Inwood, IA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, May 25. Akron-Westfield will attempt to move on its 2-1 season record. The Wildcats come into the contest with a 2-0 record after their 4-3 league win over Central Lyon (Rock Rapids, IA).
