Delaware High School Softball - Sussex Central nudges Appoquinimink

Sussex Central Golden Knights (Georgetown, DE) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Appoquinimink Jaguars (West Middletown, DE), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Golden Knights now own a 18-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cape Henlopen for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 29. Sussex Central will battle a Vikings squad coming off a 14-4 non-league win over St. Mark's (Wilmington, DE). The Vikings record now stands at 19-4.

With the loss, Appoquinimink falls to 14-5 on the campaign.
