Millington Cardinals (Millington, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting St. Clair Saints (St. Clair, MI), 9-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Cardinals now own a 17-4 record. They take the field next when they host Garber for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 25. Millington will battle a Dukes squad coming off a 13-0 non-league win over Bay City Western (Auburn, MI). The Dukes record now stands at 24-8.

With the loss, St. Clair falls to 16-13 on the campaign. The Saints host Algonac (Algonac, MI) to battle the Muskrats in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 29. The Muskrats enter the challenge with a record of 11-9.
