Central Golden Eagles (Springfield, MA) fans left the game pleased Sunday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the visiting Longmeadow Lancers (Longmeadow, MA), 5-2 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, Central advances its record to 11-7 on the season. The Golden Eagles travel to Braintree (Braintree, MA) to battle the Wamps in a non-league match on Monday, June 2. The Wamps come into the match with a record of 10-8.

The Lancers now have a 12-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wayland for a non-league match on Friday, May 30. Longmeadow will battle a Warriors squad coming off a 4-3 league loss to Weston (Weston, MA). The Warriors record now stands at 10-10.
