Rhode Island High School Softball - Ponaganset topped by Prout

Prout Crusaders (Wakefield, RI) supporters left the game pleased Sunday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Ponaganset Chieftains (North Scituate, RI), 16-6 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Prout improves its record to 13-6 on the year. The Crusaders travel to Cranston West (Cranston, RI) to play the Falcons in a non-league game on Tuesday, May 27. The Falcons enter the game with a record of 12-7. Cranston West won 12-3 in their recent league game against Pilgrim (Warwick, RI)

The Chieftains now hold a 5-16 record.
