The Penobscot Valley Howlers (Howland, ME) softball routed the visiting Deer Isle-Stonington Mariners (Deer Isle, ME), 11-1 in Monday's league outing.

The Howlers now sport a 9-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Stearns for a Class D North outing on Monday, May 26. Penobscot Valley will encounter a Minutemen team coming off a 6-4 non-league win over Lee Academy (Lee, ME). The Minutemen record now stands at 10-3.

With the loss, Deer Isle-Stonington moves to 2-9 on the season. The Mariners host Greenville (Greenville, ME) to encounter the Lakers in a non-league outing on Tuesday, May 27.
