The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the South Umpqua Lancers (Myrtle Creek, OR) and the visiting Taft Tigers (Lincoln City, OR), saw South Umpqua's softball squad nip Taft by a count of 10-3.

The Lancers now sport a 14-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Burns for a non-league test on Tuesday, May 31. South Umpqua will clash with a Hilanders team coming off a 7-0 non-league win over Blanchet Catholic (Salem, OR). The Hilanders record now stands at 16-1.
