The Defiance Bulldogs got by the host Central Catholic Fighting Irish baseball team by a count of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Bulldogs now possess a 19-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bay for a non-league bout on Thursday, June 1. Defiance will face a Rockets team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Elyria Catholic (Elyria, OH). The Rockets record now stands at 13-8.
Next, the Fighting Irish face the Clay Eagles (Oregon, OH) in a Three Rivers bout, on Monday, May 29. Central Catholic will attempt to move on its 11-10 season record. The Eagles enter the bout with a 19-9 record after their 6-2 non-league loss to St. John's Jesuit (Toledo, OH).
