Iowa High School Softball - Edgewood-Colesburg sneaks past Alburnett

In Tuesday's league match, the visiting Edgewood-Colesburg Vikings softball team scored a tight 5-4 win over the Alburnett Pirates.
The Vikings (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Central City (Central City, IA). The Wildcats come into the Tri-Rivers - West match with a 0-2 record. In their last match, Central City was nipped by North Linn (Troy Mills, IA), 7-2, in a league match.
In their next game, the Pirates battle the Calamus-Wheatland Warriors (Wheatland, IA) in a non-league match, on Thursday, May 29. Alburnett will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Warriors come into the match with a 2-0 record after their 7-0 non-league win over Easton Valley (Preston, IA).
