In Saturday's non-league game, the visiting Springfield Senators baseball team scored a tight 2-0 victory over the Sacred Heart-Griffin Cyclones.
The Senators (28-8) will now prepare for their game against Mahomet-Seymour (Mahomet, IL). The Bulldogs go into the non-league game with a 26-5 record. In their last game, Mahomet-Seymour tipped Bloomington (Bloomington, IL), 10-0, in a non-league game.
