With the triumph, Alburnett improves its record to 7-1 on the year. The Pirates host Maquoketa Valley (Delhi, IA) to clash with the Wildcats in a non-league game on Thursday, May 30. The Wildcats come into the game with a record of 5-1. Maquoketa Valley won 10-7 in their recent non-league game against Midland (Wyoming, IA)

In their next game, the Warriors clash with the Lisbon Lions (Lisbon, IA) in a Tri-Rivers - East game, on Wednesday, May 29. Calamus-Wheatland will attempt to improve on its 6-1 season record. The Lions come into the game with a 4-2 record after their 5-4 non-league loss to North Linn (Troy Mills, IA).
