In Wednesday's non-league game, the host Cascade Cougars baseball team scored a close 10-3 victory over the Clayton-Ridge Eagles.
The Cougars (1-1) will now prepare for their game against Northeast (Goose Lake, IA). The Rebels enter the River Valley - North game with a 0-0 record.
Next, the Eagles face the Starmont Stars (Arlington, IA) in a non-league game, on Thursday, May 29. Clayton-Ridge will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Stars enter the game with a 2-2 record after their 5-3 non-league win over Waukon (Waukon, IA).
