Maine High School Baseball - Orono defeats Central

May 28, 2025: Orono, ME 04473

The Orono Riots (Orono, ME) baseball trounced the visiting Central Red Devils (East Corinth, ME), 8-1 in Wednesday's league challenge.

The Riots now own a 6-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Dexter for a Class C North challenge on Saturday, May 31. Orono will clash with a Tigers team coming off a 11-1 league win over Penquis Valley (Milo, ME). The Tigers record now stands at 8-6.

With the defeat, Central drops to 2-11 on the year. The Red devils host Foxcroft Academy (Dover-Foxcroft, ME) to clash with the Ponies in a Class C North challenge on Monday, June 2. The Ponies go into the challenge with a record of 10-2.
