Maine High School Baseball - Machias edges Woodland

The Machias Bulldogs baseball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Woodland Dragons to 7 in the Bulldogs league win on Wednesday.

The Bulldogs now own a 6-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bangor Christian for a Class D North test on Friday, May 30. Machias will play a Patriots team coming off a 15-11 league win over Penobscot Valley (Howland, ME). The Patriots record now stands at 11-1.

With the defeat, Woodland drops to 9-4 on the year. The Dragons travel to Calais (Calais, ME) to play the Blue Devils in a non-league test on Thursday, May 29. The Blue Devils go into the test with a record of 5-5. Calais lost 9-2 in their recent league test against Mattanawcook (Lincoln, ME)
