In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Unity Christian Knights (Orange City, IA) softball team overwhelmed the host MOC-Floyd Valley Dutchmen (Orange City, IA), by a margin of 11-5.

With the triumph, Unity Christian moves its record to 3-1 on the year. The Knights host Central Lyon (Rock Rapids, IA) to play the Lions in a Siouxland contest on Friday, May 31. The Lions come into the contest with a record of 2-1. Central Lyon won 7-5 in their recent league contest against Okoboji (Milford, IA)

In their next game, the Dutchmen play the Akron-Westfield Westerners (Akron, IA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, June 1. MOC-Floyd Valley will attempt to move on its 4-2 season record. The Westerners come into the contest with a 5-1 record after their 4-1 league win over Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union (Marcus, IA).
