St. Ansgar Saints (St. Ansgar, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Nashua-Plainfield Huskies (Nashua, IA), 13-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Saints now own a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lake Mills for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 30. St. Ansgar will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 8-3 league loss to Eagle Grove (Eagle Grove, IA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-4.

With the loss, Nashua-Plainfield falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Huskies host Osage (Osage, IA) to face the Green Devils in a Top of Iowa-East challenge on Thursday, May 30. The Green Devils enter the challenge with a record of 3-3. Osage won 11-0 in their recent non-league challenge against North Butler (Greene, IA)
