In Wednesday's league outing, the visiting Northwest Wolves softball team scored a close 6-3 win over the Southeast Polk Rams.
Coming up next, the Wolves battle the Carlisle Wildcats (Carlisle, IA) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, June 1. Northwest will attempt to upgrade on its 5-0 season record. The Wildcats enter the outing with a 9-1 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Estherville Lincoln Central (Estherville, IA).
The Rams (3-3) will now prepare for their outing against Lincoln (Des Moines, IA). The Railsplitters enter the non-league outing with a 3-1 record. In their last outing, Lincoln tipped Marshalltown (Marshalltown, IA), 5-2, in a non-league outing.
