The Montezuma Braves baseball team scored 13 runs and held the host Colfax-Mingo Tigerhawks to 2 in the Braves league win on Thursday.

The Braves now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Keota for a South Iowa Cedar test on Friday, May 30. Montezuma will play a Eagles team coming off a 9-8 league loss to H-L-V (Victor, IA). The Eagles record now stands at 1-2.

With the defeat, Colfax-Mingo drops to 0-3 on the year. The Tigerhawks travel to Lynnville-Sully (Sully, IA) to play the Hawks in a South Iowa Cedar test on Friday, May 30. The Hawks go into the test with a record of 3-0. Lynnville-Sully won 9-4 in their recent league test against North Mahaska (New Sharon, IA)
