In Thursday's league bout, the Linn-Mar Lions (Marion, IA) baseball squad overwhelmed the visiting Waterloo West Wahawks (Waterloo, IA), by a tally of 8-0.
Next up, the Lions encounter the Pleasant Valley Spartans (Pleasant Valley, IA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, May 30. Linn-Mar will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Spartans enter the bout with a 5-1 record after their 10-1 non-league win over Davenport West (Davenport, IA).
The Wahawks (1-5) will now prepare for their bout against Cedar Falls (Cedar Falls, IA). The Tigers enter the non-league bout with a 2-2 record. In their last bout, Cedar Falls was overwhelmed by Iowa City (Iowa City, IA), 4-1, in a non-league bout.
