In Thursday's league match, the visiting Clarinda Cardinals softball team scored a tight 1-0 win over the Shenandoah Mustangs.
The Cardinals (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Earlham (Earlham, IA). The Cardinals come into the non-league match with a 2-1 record. In their last match, Earlham nipped Madrid (Madrid, IA), 9-0, in a league match.
In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Fremont-Mills Knights (Tabor, IA) in a non-league match, on Friday, May 30. Shenandoah will attempt to better on its 1-3 season record. The Knights come into the match with a 1-0 record after their 5-4 league win over Stanton (Stanton, IA).
