Gardiner Tigers (Gardiner, ME) supporters left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Lincoln Academy Eagles (Newcastle, ME), 13-1 in a league game.

With the triumph, Gardiner improves its record to 5-9 on the year. The Tigers travel to Leavitt (Turner, ME) to play the Hornets in a Class B South game on Friday, May 30. The Hornets enter the game with a record of 12-2. Leavitt lost 13-3 in their recent league game against Medomak Valley (Waldoboro, ME)

The Eagles now hold a 5-9 record. They play next when they host Morse for a Class B South game on Monday, June 2. Lincoln Academy will play a Shipbuilders squad coming off a 9-5 non-league win over Brunswick (Brunswick, ME). The Shipbuilders record now stands at 3-12.
